Our Story

Mesa Quartz began with a simple observation. While volunteering at a primary school nature club in Bristol, our founder noticed something troubling: children who could navigate tablet screens with ease struggled to identify common garden birds or explain why leaves change colour in autumn.

That disconnect sparked a question that became our mission. How might we create learning experiences so engaging that nature could compete with screens for attention? The answer required more than good intentions; it demanded careful design, quality materials, and activities rooted in how children actually learn.

Five years later, our kits have reached over 15,000 families across the United Kingdom. Teachers use them in classrooms. Childminders recommend them to parents. And most importantly, children ask to use them again and again.
